HMQG Baby Quilt

I'm in love with this sweet baby quilt the members of the Houston Modern Quilt Guild made for emma and me. The pattern is called a disappearing 9 patch and the reproduction fabrics are too darling! I got a little carried away with the photos though, so be warned...

Gorgeous quilting by Pam Biswas, the same talented lady
who quilted the Azteca quilt  for my Les Amis booth.

Love this binding!

WIP - emma's zig zag quilt

Yup, still working on emma's baby quilt, and am just now posting pics of the back. It's not a particularly complicated backer, but I think it has a sweet simplicity and I'm just happy to have one more thing done. Okay, in all fairness, it's not really done, per se, because I still have to embroider the personalization on the heart (a nice touch, I think), but progress none the less!

...and emma makes three!

wow, so much has happened and changed since my last post, and all my good intentions of keeping y'all posted flew right out the window. But, our sweet little girl, emma, entered the world a bit early, on May 5th... Cinco de Mayo, which down here in Houston is a pretty big event already. 7 lbs, 2 oz, 21 inches, and judging by her long, skinny feet and legs, I'd say she's going to be tall like both her momma and daddy.

I don't have much time these days to do much other than feed, change her diaper and soothe her so I'll simply leave you with some sweet pics of our little peanut for now!

Quality time with grandma.

Our little perpetual motion machine.

Snuggling with daddy.

Just hanging out on a quilt from a longtime familly friend, Mrs. Peggy Bannan.

Me and sweet pea at 5 days old.
